Although we only had time to read up to then end of Chapter 12, you can keep listening to the story and practice answering your questions in complete sentences. Click on the video to listen to the chapter. You can ask an adult to print the questions for you.
Remember our strategies:
1. Preview the questions first so you know what to listen for.
2. Find the key words in the question to help you start your answer. Hi-light or underline them.
For example, if the question is
Where did Mr. Popper live?
You can start your answer with the key words:
Mr. Popper lived in Stillwater.
3. Make sure your answers are complete sentences. Read them out loud. Do they make sense? Do they sound right? Then check that you have properly used capital letters and periods.
