YOU CAN DO YOUR DAILY FIVE AT HOME!
Decide how you can track what you finish. You can use popsicle sticks like we do in class, or to make it even more fun, ask an adult if you can use treats like Goldfish or strawberries. You could even use coloured treats like Smarties or Gummy Bears and choose a colour for each activity, just like we use coloured sticks in class. Or you could use play money and count up how much you have earned at the end of the day. Choose one activity for each of the five skills. Some activities will change every week so make sure you check this page.

Word WorkTo build phonics skills, word knowlege, and spelling.
Practice your words using any of the suggested ways on the Spelling Page. Go to Spelling City and work on any of the word lists we have had this year. New lists are being added. Try any of the activities that you have been assigned. Do a lesson on Reading Eggs or on Reading Eggspress |
Work on Writing To practice writing a variety of writing styles, printing, grammar and mechanics.
Go to Story Factory on Reading Eggs and write a story. You can enter your story in a contest if you want. Write in your Journal Have an adult print out a printing practice page for you. Do one page a day.

Listen to ReadingAudio books to improve fluency and comprehension.
Listen to a chapter of Mr. Popper's Penguins and answer the questions in complete sentences Listen to book on BookFlix and complete a puzzle activity Listen to a book on Epic Listen to one of these stories on Vooks and do the follow up activity
